Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey has been called up to the Ghana squad for the first time ahead of their international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.
Lamptey, 21, joins up with the Ghana squad ahead of the Qatar World Cup, which starts on November 20.
The right-back has represented England at under-18, under-19, under-20 and under-21 levels.
Lamptey has struggled to break into Graham Potter’s starting XI so far this season and has only featured for over 45 minutes once in the 3-0 victory over Forest Green in the Carabao Cup.

Lamptey has made 54 appearances for Brighton since signing from Chelsea in 2020. He spent the majority of his youth career with the west London club.
Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams is also set to make his debut for Ghana. He made one appearance for the Spanish national team prior to announcing earlier this year that he would switch allegiances to Ghana.
Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu also gets a call-up for the first time.
